Para Prep

Study for the PHECC EMT and Paramedic written exams. Built by Irish students, straight from the CPGs.

Made by students
who sat the same paper.

We're students on the Irish courses who have sat these exams, EMT and Paramedic both, and we built the study tool we wanted and couldn't find. An MCQ bank, mock exams, flashcards, a drug reference, a dose trainer, CPG drills and a standards tracker, every question built from an answer in the published CPGs and cited back to it.

We're getting the first students together in a free Discord. Come in and tell us what's missing.

Draft content, built from the PHECC CPGs and frameworks. Pending clinical verification.

Exam-prep aid only, not clinical advice. The content is unverified, AI-assisted draft material. Never use it for patient care. Read the disclaimer.

Why it works

It all comes back to the CPGs

The PHECC written exams sit on the published CPGs. Every question and card here is built from an answer in those CPGs, cited back to where it comes from. Nothing is made up. Work the bank and you'll know your CPGs, and knowing your CPGs is what the written exam asks of you.

ParaPrep is for passing the written exam, and nothing you don't need. It isn't clinical teaching, and that's the point: pure need-to-know for the paper, no padding. For the clinical side, that's the CPGs and your course.

02 · How it works

The simplest way to use it

1

Pick your level

Choose EMT or Paramedic. The content filters to exactly what your exam expects.

2

Practise daily

Short MCQ drills, flashcards, mock papers and dose maths. Built for small windows of time.

3

Track and close gaps

It shows you the topics you keep getting wrong and sends you to a set built from those CPGs. No guessing what to study.

03 · Who it's for

Wherever you are on the course, EMT or Paramedic

EMT

Emergency Medical Technician

New to pre-hospital care, or sitting your EMT exam? Build the core knowledge, the normal values and the clinical reasoning the written paper asks for, a topic at a time.

Paramedic

Paramedic

Stepping up to Paramedic? Work the harder pharmacology, the CPGs and the decision-making the written exam expects, all filtered to your level.

Running a cohort through their EMT or Paramedic course? We do a plan for training institutions. Get in touch.

Draft content, pending clinical verification

Every question, flashcard, algorithm and drug entry is drawn from the published PHECC Clinical Practice Guidelines and competency frameworks, with a source citation, and is currently marked as draft while qualified paramedics verify it. Always confirm against the current CPGs before relying on anything clinically.
