Terms of service
Draft / placeholder. This is sample copy only and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. It must be legally reviewed and finalised before launch.
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or otherwise using ParaPrep ("the service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
2. The service
ParaPrep is an independent educational study tool for EMT and Paramedic students in Ireland. It provides study material, practice questions, and exam-preparation features. Some features require a paid subscription.
3. Subscription & billing
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (for example monthly or annually) through our payments provider. Your subscription renews automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and access continues until then. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. Prices may change with reasonable notice.
4. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. One account is for one person, accounts may not be shared. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service. In particular you must not: copy, resell, redistribute, or publicly post the study content; scrape or bulk-download material; share your account; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or other users' data; or use the service for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.
6. Educational & clinical disclaimer
All content on ParaPrep is provided for educational and revision purposes only. It is sample/placeholder material and is not clinical guidance. It is not a substitute for formal training, supervision, or professional judgement. You must always defer to the current official PHECC Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs), your training institution, and your clinical governance. Do not rely on this service for patient care or clinical decision-making. The content may be incomplete, out of date, or inaccurate. See the full Disclaimer.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ParaPrep is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the content is accurate, current, or error-free, or that the service will be uninterrupted. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the service or its content, including any clinical, academic, or financial consequences. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
